This time in life (part three)
When was the last time you made a mistake? For me it was just a couple of hours ago. I learned another very very very important thing from it. But today's part is not going to be only about my mistake and what I learned from it. I have things to say, that don't relate to it at all, but of course they relate to this time in life, which is me being 20 years and 41 days old.
Number one:
~Get over your own importance!
-what do I mean by this?
Sometimes you should be in the first place as I mentioned in part one, but don't mistake that advice with this one. At some points in our lives, we make mistakes we regret, maybe instantly, maybe 30 minutes later, maybe a lot later. The sooner we realize we made them, the better. At this point, it's all about your ego and how big it is. If you cannot get over your own importance and apologize genuinely for your mistake and truly try fixing it, then please try to learn the difference between ego and self-confidence. I have a big ego and I admit to that. It is one of my destined flaws that has been there ever since I was a kid (I am the daughter of my father after all). I am constantly working on fixing this, however sometimes I slip and my ego gets bigger than the Sun - and that is wrong. So I have to keep myself in check more and more all the time. But thanks to my mom I learned one very important thing in life - bow your head down and apologize, when you are the one at fault. And every day I find it more and more important.
Number two:
~Mom is always right. Listen to her.
-what do I mean by this?
Simple and easy. Your mom only wants the best for you, so it's a no-brainer. When I was a kid so many times I thought she cannot be right at this very moment, eh? But she was. Sometimes she may not completely understand the situation, but that is because you're not telling her something or haven't fully explained the situation you're facing. But in the each and every moment of her life she only wants the best for you. So listen to her. She's right.
Number three:
~You can wear black everyday.
-what do I mean by this?
No one. NO ONE. Not a single person on Earth can tell that you cannot wear black, because you wore it yesterday. If they tell you this, they ain't your friends. SO, if you don't feel like dressing in ground-breaking florals for spring, wear black. If you want to wear all gray, rock an all-gray outfit. You're wearing it not them. So yeah...
So that was part three, maybe no completely philosophical or digging into the meaning of being itself, but oh well. Not everything in the world has asuch grave importance as wearing all black all year. So that's that.
I hope you enjoyed reading this and will come back for the ones!
Love,
Michaela
