Clashing production schedules

I don't know if there is something more frustrating and infuriating than a producer, who doesn't back down and doesn't even want to hear about compromises.

I mean yeah, if it was about something like overreaching the budget or moving the deadline I would understand - those are quite unacceptable.

Here comes trouble though! I am currently signed up as production designer with 2 groups, in which I am perfectly happy because both projects are challenging I can practice two very different design, setting two completely different moods and emotions. Not only I promised myself to work on both and I don't intend to break this promise, I also WANT to work on both.

However, the producer of one is adamant about not moving two out of seven shooting days, which means I have an overlapping schedule for two days, even though we have discussed it previously and agreed to not overlap it. A producers' meeting comes and I found out she changed the decision on these dates back to clashing schedules for me even though she knows both of these productions are important to me and I am set on doing both! I haven't taken up anything else because I didn't want to clash anything in for now - to see how these two are going to work out. Well, this isn't exactly working, is it?

I cannot splice myself in 2 and be at both places at the same time and I'm also not Hermione and I don't own a time-turner. Trying to solve this in a peaceful way is something I am adamant on doing and I will not back down on working on both!

Crossed fingers for luck!
