Still in preproduction (production update W9)
I don't have much to update on since I sm.the editor on this adaptation project in our 4th Exit Productions. But overall I can say that I am much more content sticking to a technical job that over the line role. I am a very creative person, to that I admit but I just don't like telling people what exactly to do. I am not good at that and I don't enjoy it. I would love to direct a movie of my own that is for sure but I think it would take a certain amount of time to gain courage to direct people in the right way.
I am also quite content with how the preproduction is going. The producer and director are working together very well but yet again I feel like there is a person for whom we are pulling the weight. Like riding our coat tails if you know what I mean.
So all in all I think the assembly will not be too difficult but i have a feeling the color grading will be challenging since the Black Magic cameras don't pick up as much color as the Canon cameras, but I like a challenge if I can learn something useful from it.
I will update more throughout the editing process.
During this adaptation project I am doing set design and script supervision for one group. And for another group I am doing costume design and I will probably take up a runner role on set. So this Friday 9th I am working on set design for Lana's adaptation of a scene from Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 and script supervision for on Saturday 10th. On Sunday 11th I will be on the set of Denizali's adaptation of a Turkish poem doing costume and a runner role.
